GENERAL MANAGER’S COMMENTS
The holidays are just about over but we’re still here to provide the best of the best for the New Year. I hope everyone brought in the New Year with a new plan because I have. I’ve continued to learn so much about what your CRYC is all about. We are a Classy, Elegant, Traditional and, most of all, Fun club. And you folks still love to have fun seeing all the summer months, the winter months and all the parties, Thanksgiving buffets, Commodores Balls, Boat Parade of Lights, and lots and lots of Christmas parties. As you see there was a lot going on here and this is the place to be. So, as a team this year, we want to be better and provide the best service and food we can offer.
As I approach my third year as your General Manager, most of you may know by now that I’m the type of person that tries to get everything done when I hear of opportunities. I like to talk with members and, in order to address the issues, I need your feedback.
Some of last year’s accomplishments: The swimming pool sliding board has found many new friends; it is indeed a huge success for the Point Bar activities. Thanks to all the contributors and the Board of Governors. Sunday Brunch on the Intracoastal Waterway is by far the best I’ve seen around town. You need to stop on by and enjoy the food, friends and family.
Membership growth is still very important to our Club and our programs are in place. Our new Membership & Marketing Director Julie O’Neill has been off and running hard since day one and we’re looking forward to the 70th Anniversary. Hopefully you still know some friends and/or neighbors that you think may be good members. Invite them over. If you’re bringing over some potential members, please let me know and I’ll introduce myself and Julie and we will let them know more about the Club. The more members we have, the more we’ll prosper.
As always, I’m having fun and look forward to seeing you at your Club.
I want to thank the Commodores and Board of Governors for all their support and smooth running of the Yacht Club while under the careful “Eyes from above Earth’s Heaven with Commodore Raymond Ramey looking down.” Ray would be proud!
Finally I would like to thank my entire staff for working very hard to make the Coral Ridge Yacht Club the best Club in the South this past year, and we look forward to working with Commodore Greg Bennett and his Board of Governors to achieve his goals.
See you at your Club.
